Following the sustainable development strategic of European Community, recirculation of reusable materials is a priority of waste management legislation. With an effective battery collection, recycling enables to reintroduce thousand of tons of useful and valuable metals. With implementation of EU-directive 66/2006, minimum treatment requirements were defined and recycling of battery became mandatory. According to Commissions TAC (technical adaption committee) clarification, treatment can be understood as preprocessing, where e.g. liquids are taken out, or non-battery components plastic jackets from power tool packs are extracted.

At Accurec, we accept all types of portable and industrial batteries for recycling. After particular sorting procedure, we recycle at one of our facilities or with support of our subcontractors these indentified battery types at highest level of technology.
